6 Must-have WordPress Plugins for your Website

Plugins are an essential part of a website’s build and certain plugins are must have for all types of WordPress websites. It can be easy to be lost in the vast plethora of plugins available for a WordPress site. Here are 6 WordPress plugins which, in my opinion, are must have for your website.

Table of Contents

Yoast SEO

Yoast SEO is the most popular SEO, search engine optimization, plugin across wordpress which has been installed over 5 million times. SEO is the process in which a site’s visibility on search engines is improved, leading to more traffic to your website and more importantly, more customers.

This plugin gives many features to improve a website’s SEO such as its SEO analysis which analyses each page of your site and gives you tips on what can be improved on each page. For example, adding more inbound and outbound links on the page, adding more text and improvements in the meta description.

Elementor

Elementor is a website builder, perfect for building a wordpress website which has been installed over 5 million times. Elementor has its own drag and drop editor, creating a simple yet professional interface that web designers can work with as well as advanced design features.

I personally have used Elementor to build websites, including my own and the websites on my portfolio so I can say from personal experience that Elementor is straightforward to use and at the same time has enough customisable and advanced features that each website can be unique.

This plugin comes with 40 different widgets, 100+ premade page templates and 300+ premade sections which can be added to a site in a matter of clicks. There is also a pro version of the plugin, Elementor Pro, which gives an additional 50 widgets to choose from.

WP-Optimize

A website needs to be quick to load in order to not lose customers as a result of slow loading times. WP-Optimize is a speed optimization plugin which speeds up the loading time of a website drastically.

This plugin improves the speed of a site through the cleaning and optimization of the site’s database, compressing the images used across the site and the caching of the site’s pages. As well as these main three features, the plugin gives the user the option to minify code and gzip compression.

Really Simple SSL

SSL is a certificate given to a website which allows encryption for data over the web, protecting your website and your customer’s data; also, a website without a padlock in the URL is seen as untrustworthy. Having a SSL certificate also improves your ranking for SEO, as mentioned earlier. .

I hope that these 6 WordPress plugins will be useful if you are building a WordPress website. If you need help downloading these plugins or assistance with one in particular, do get in touch and I will be happy to help you with whatever plugin problem you may be having.
