More About Me - Louis Websdale

I thought that it would be a good idea to dedicate one blog post to list and explain some more things about me. Even though there is already an about me page, I think that a blog post gives more freedom in the length and will allow me to explain some of my interests more!

Table of Contents

Liverpool FC

Firstly, as of writing this, Liverpool FC have just finished 3rd in the Premier League, a result that I am happy with as I thought it would be very unlikely that we would even get 4th! I started watching Liverpool around the times of the great  Fabio Borini and Jonjo Shelvey; I am surprised that I didn’t switch teams after watching them week in week out! After many years of outside the top 6, finally there was some glory with Jurgen Klopp which I was very happy to be able to watch, namely Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona and Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham in the final.

I unfortunately can’t say that I have been blessed with the chance to see glory with England but who knows what could happen in the one year late Euros.

Gaming

Another passion of mine is gaming which led to me starting as a video editor (you can read more about that here). I initially had a Nintendo Gamecube, discontinued just 5 years after I was born but even with its lack of development compared to some of the consoles now, I loved playing Mario Kart Double Dash and Super Mario Sunshine which sparked my desire to get a Xbox 360 for my birthday. And thankfully I did!

After getting the new console, I began to post videos of me playing games like this video – the oldest one on my YouTube channel, almost 7 years old as of May 2021!

YouTube

Around the time of posting my first video was when I started to play Quantum Of Solace, the brilliant James Bond film turnt into a video game. Playing Quantum Of Solace (QoS) led me to join many gaming teams and I was known quite well in the QoS community, if I do say so myself.

I continued this trend into Call Of Duty: Ghosts where I began to upload montages of my best clips onto the same YouTube channel which has led me to build a subscriber count of 950 as of May 2021; as I lost interest in creating montages for myself, I began to edit them for other gamers, leading to me becoming a Video Editor.

Television

Ever since I can remember, I have watched Eastenders, every night that it is on BBC One and what an amazing show it is! Personally, I think that the addition of Danny Dyer and the Carters in general has led to some great storylines ever since they joined the show. As well as Eastenders, Gavin & Stacey has always been a favourite of mine and The Office, the UK version; Ricky Gervais and Martin Freeman play their parts superbly in it.

A mention also has to go to Lee Evans who has some brilliant stand-up performances, my personal favourite is ‘just the one ticket please’ line. I have to say that Sopranos is incredible and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t watched it – Pine Barrens is so funny despite the crime and illegality surrounding the whole show.

I hope that this blog post has given you a larger insight into some of my interests and generally helped you to learn more about me.
