There are a range of services that are included within all website maintenance packages and some which are specific to bespoke packages. Here is an outline of what is included in your website’s maintenance:

• Regular updates – Your website’s plugins, core updates, themes and any additional updates will be regularly updated and monitored throughout the month. This process is carried out frequently to ensure that your website’s health and security is always maintained at a high level. We take care when updating each plugin to ensure that updating something on your website does not lead to any adverse issues. As a result, we do not make updates automatically as this can cause compatibility errors with your website and ultimately can cause the website to crash if the updating of plugins is not monitored.
• Uptime monitoring – This is the process of monitoring your website at all times to make sure that it is always live without any errors. We use a robust and high quality uptime monitoring software which notifies us if a website under our umbrella is experiencing issues or if it has completely shut down. In the rare occurrence that this does happen, we can then look at why the website is not working as it should and we will take the best course of action to get your website back up and running.
• Daily backups – Your website’s files and database will be backed up daily so that we always have an up-to-date copy of your website if we ever need it. This backup is stored on your end so that we always have access to it if needed. In the rare occurrence that something goes wrong with the website, we can restore an old backup of the website in a matter of minutes and get your website back up and running for your customers. 
• Speed optimisation – The loading speed of your website will be optimised and regular speed optimisation processes will be carried out so that your website is always loading at a fast rate. If it is the first time that we are working together, we will take an audit of your website’s current speed and suggest some speed improvements for the whole site while undertaking your website’s maintenance. This includes the optimisation of your website’s code, images, fonts and plugins to ensure that we can get the best loading speed possible so that no potential customers are lost due to your website loading too slowly.
• Security enhancements – The security of your website will be enhanced and regularly monitored so that your website does not become vulnerable to hackers trying to attack your website’s files and potentially, your customers’ details. Again, if it is the first time that we are working together, we will take an audit of your website’s current security and suggest some security enhancements for the website while undertaking your website’s maintenance.
• Site Healthchecks – These healthchecks are regular site-wide checks that are carried out to ensure that everything is working as it should on your website month by month. If we spot something that is not right, we will make the necessary changes to get that back in order and improve the health of your website.
• Priority support – For Growing and Scaling plans, we offer the highest priority support that we can to ensure that your queries and questions are looked into on an urgent basis. For small development and design tasks, these can usually be actioned within two business days. Of course, if a particular task or issue is extremely urgent, we can discuss the best course of action to take to ensure that this can be resolved in the quickest way possible. 
• Ad-hoc website development and design work – For Growing and Scaling plans, we offer a number of website development and design work per month so that you have hours already set aside for desired changes and additions to your website. You can also purchase additional hours of website design and development work if you are looking for a greater number of tasks to be completed per month.

Yes, of course! If you would like to have a set number of hours per month worth of ad-hoc website development and design tasks then that can be arranged within your website maintenance package. At the same time, if you ever want to arrange an additional hour or two without having a set number of hours per month, we are happy to work on an ad-hoc basis for this and we can discuss this further. We can also work on a white label arrangement to provide web design and development to your clients’ websites.

If we work together on a monthly maintenance basis, we typically complete small development and design work within two business days, however, if the work requested is of a much larger scale then this may take longer. An estimated timescale for each task is always provided before starting on your request and if something is really urgent then we are happy to discuss this and look at ways to complete the work in a shorter timeframe. 

Yes, of course! You will always have full access to your website so you can make any changes and additions that you would like without having to ask us first. As always, we are here if you would like us to take care of the changes and additions for you or if something is seemingly too complex or if you simply do not have the time.

Yes, if you also need your website to be hosted as well as maintained then this is something that we are more than happy to do and we can discuss this further in our initial discovery call. Alternatively, we do not discriminate and are happy to offer maintenance for websites that we do not host on our servers!

We use the industry standard uptime monitoring tool which regularly scans your website to see if there are any issues and if it is completely inaccessible. In the rare occurrence that your website does stop working, we are notified by our software that this has happened and then we will take the necessary actions to get the website back up and running as soon as possible.
