Engineering a stronger digital presence

A WordPress migration and new website created to strengthen Trident’s digital presence and showcase its hydraulic engineering expertise across Southam, Leamington Spa and beyond.

The Brief

Trident Hydraulics & Electronics is a Southam-based engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced hydraulic systems and electronic controls, supporting businesses across Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and throughout the UK.

The project brought together two websites under the Trident brand, combining a careful website migration with the development of a completely new digital presence for its specialist waste and recycling division.

The first involved migrating the established Trident Hydraulics website from a restrictive CMS to WordPress. Rather than redesigning an already familiar website, we carefully rebuilt it on WordPress to retain its existing appearance and content while giving the business far greater flexibility and control behind the scenes. Alongside this, we designed and developed a new WordPress website for Trident Waste & Recycling Solutions, creating a dedicated platform for its work within the waste and recycling industry.

Here are some of the aims that we had for the project:

Remove the limitations of the existing CMS

The existing Trident Hydraulics website was operating on a restrictive CMS that limited how easily the company could manage, update and develop its online presence.

Create a dedicated waste and recycling website

Trident needed a dedicated online presence that could communicate this expertise separately from the wider Trident Hydraulics business.

Strengthen local visibility across Southam and Leamington Spa

The websites also provide a stronger foundation for increasing the company’s visibility across Southam, Leamington Spa and the wider Warwickshire area, alongside its national engineering work.

Ensure a positive experience across all devices

Ensure a seamless, responsive experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

The Solution

We delivered a flexible two-website WordPress solution that gave Trident greater control over its digital presence. The existing Hydraulics website was carefully rebuilt and migrated from its restrictive CMS to WordPress, retaining the familiar design while creating a stronger foundation for future growth. Alongside this, we designed and developed a dedicated website for Trident Waste & Recycling Solutions, with a responsive experience across all devices and a distinct identity that remains connected to the wider Trident brand.

The result is a modern, scalable digital setup that supports Trident’s continued growth while making both websites easier to manage, update and develop over time.

What we say

This project demonstrates how a website project does not always need to mean starting again. For Trident Hydraulics, the priority was preserving an established website while removing the restrictions of its previous CMS. Rebuilding it on WordPress provided the flexibility the business needed without losing the existing identity its customers already recognised.

At the same time, the creation of a dedicated website for Trident Waste & Recycling Solutions gave this growing side of the business its own platform and visual identity. The result is a connected two-website digital presence for a Southam engineering company, combining established branding with a more flexible technical foundation and providing greater opportunities for Trident to grow its online visibility across Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and the wider UK.
